Black Deer is on a mission to bring the real Americana & Country music, and way of life, to the UK – expressed through a unique music festival. Founders, Gill Tee and Deborah Shilling, amalgamate their experience producing Capital Radio’s ‘Party in the Park’, and ‘the Hop Farm Festival’, to create an incredible family festival with a fast-growing community of raving fans. We discuss the difficulties of launching a festival, how a business can become your identity, and some stand out acts of past and present.
